booking a shoot

Jewel

Portfolios (by portfolio I mean any shoot where the person posing is the person paying) are where I started out, & I'll always have a soft spot for taking someone brand new who looks like a frightened rabbit in the first few shots, & seeing their confidence increase over the course of the shoot. It's incredibly rewarding to affect that change in someone, & even more so when they go on to be a succesful model.

It's vital if you're not used to shooting every day to choose a photographer who'll take time & have the patience to bring out the best in you, it can be hard to relax in front of the camera but myself & my make-up artists are particularly strong at making you feel relaxed & at ease, which makes a huge difference to the photos. I also use natural settings such as sofas, beds & doorways in my Central London studio as it's much more natural to pose with these rather than standing against a plain studio background.

Portfolios also work for established models, I recently shot a fashion model who reported a 75% increase in bookings after adding photos from our shoot to her portfolio.

I'm also experienced in shooting tantrikas, if this applies to you, please click here for samples & details.

Shoots currently include magazine standard hair & make-up, around 2-2.5 hours shooting time (I don't rush, it takes as long as it takes), & 8 retouched photos on print & CD, all for £450.
